Making the decisionto undergo breast augmentation is a big step and not one to be taken lightly. Many of the women who schedule consultations with Naples, Florida cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Manuel Peña, have contemplated this surgery for months or even years. But just because you have decided that you want to have larger breasts does not mean you are automatically a good candidate for this surgery. There are many factors that must be taken into consideration before having breast augmentation performed.
If you have done your research (or if you have already spoken with Dr. Peña), you know full well that breast augmentation surgery is an invasive procedure that requires a several week long recovery period. So, if you are unable to devote time to recovering from this procedure, you would not be a good candidate. This is not the type of surgery that allows you to return to work the next day.
Breast enlargement is one of the most popular procedures performed at our Naples plastic surgery center; we have been providing women with fuller, larger, and more shapely breasts since 1990. If you are in good health and have realistic expectations about what this surgery will do for you, then you will probably be a great candidate. However, if you have problems in your life and think larger breasts will make you more successful or more “liked” by other people, then you do not have the right mental attitude we are looking for in prospective patients. If you have experienced failed relationships or if you have been passed over for yet another promotion, breast augmentation will not “fix” any of that.
